About Vindr

Vindr is a long-term renewable energy company investing across the entire value chain,  from development and construction to operation of our power plants.

We are building our position as a leading renewable power producer in Northern Europe, contributing to energy security through advanced technology and sustainable practices. Our commitment throughout the value chain reflects a long-term strategy grounded in collaboration with local stakeholders and a focus on positive social and environmental impact.

Our projects are developed close to consumption areas, reducing transmission losses and minimizing environmental footprint.

Established in 2019, Vindr began by developing wind power projects in Norway and Sweden. Since then, we have expanded across the Nordics and Baltics, working to accelerate the green energy transition across the region.

About Vindr

Local Collaboration and Impact

For Vefsn Municipality, the wind farm will generate increased income through property tax and a share of the resource rent tax.

Based on an estimated production of 600 GWh and up to 180 MW installed capacity, and assuming a property tax rate of 7‰, the annual contribution is estimated at around NOK 25 million.

Upgrading the local grid alongside new renewable generation from Kovfjellet Wind will also help enable new industrial opportunities in the region.

The project is expected to create local ripple effects during construction and operation — through the purchase of local and regional goods and services, as well as employment of local personnel for operation and maintenance.
