Just north of the Hovdmoen Industrial Park, Vindr is developing Hovdmoen Solar – a solar power plant with a capacity of 49 MWp. Preliminary assessments show an expected annual production of ca 61 GWh, equivalent to the electricity consumption of around 3,000 homes.

Local Collaboration and Impact

Upgrading existing grid infrastructure alongside new solar generation at Hovdmoen Solar will help create opportunities for new industrial activity within the existing industrial area at Hovdmoen.

The project is also expected to generate local benefits during both construction and operation – through the purchase of local and regional goods and services, and by employing local personnel for ongoing operations and maintenance.
