To the north, the boundary partly follows the municipal border and partly runs parallel to the Gjeddsjøåa river. Toward the northeast, the boundary follows the Gjeddsjøåa river and Gudmundshullet. To the east, the area is bordered by Gråbeinkjølen, and to the south by Bærmyrhøgda.
Local contribution
The wind farm will generate clear local benefits during both the construction and operational phases. During construction, significant activity will be created, with demand for labour as well as goods and services from local businesses. Once in operation, the wind farm will require around two full-time positions for operation and maintenance, in addition to ongoing demand for local goods and services.
Landowners will see increased returns from their outfield areas, while the development will also improve the forest road network, strengthening both forestry operations and access for outdoor recreation.
For the municipality, the wind farm will provide stable income through production fees and property tax. These funds can be used freely and come in addition to other state transfers. A portion of the production fee is also allocated to local initiatives, such as nature and environmental measures in the area.
In the longer term, access to local, renewable power can make the municipality more attractive for energy-intensive businesses looking to establish themselves, contributing to further employment and value creation.
