Founders
Vindr was founded in 2019 with the aim to develop wind-power projects in Norway and Sweden. Since then, we expanded into new markets covering the Nordic and Baltic region. It all started with our founders with a long track-record in the renewable industry, and their vision of building a leading Northern European renewable energy company.

To fulfil the vision of building a leading Northern European renewable energy company, Vindr wanted to partner with an investor with the technical competence and understanding the unique culture in the region. The European infrastructure fund InfraVia provides a partnership with shared values, working together we have the necessary capabilities to be a key actor in the energy transition in Northern Europe.

The purpose of Vindr is to have a positive contribution on our environment, it is also key to us to have a positive social impact in our communities and dedicate ourselves in creating as much local value as possible when developing our projects. That is also why we invest heavily in technology and governance planning at an early stage, to ensure our projects are best adapted to the local situation with proper governance.

Björkvattnet Wind Farm
Bjorkvattnet wind farm is a 175 MW power plant owned by Infravia. It is located in Jämtland, Sweden. The plant consists of 33 turbines and was completed in 2023. The production can provide 175 000 households with clean energy, and saves 215 000 tons of greenhouse gas each year.
